The complete list of nominations for the 2016 Grammy Awards was announced earlier this morning and it looks like Kendrick Lamar leads the way.

Kendrick Lamar started the year 2015 perfectly with the release of his second studio album To Pimp A Butterfly and now the rapper can say it was a great year for his career as he just earned 11 nominations for the 2016 Grammies. The Los Angeles rapper has been nominated for Album of The Year but thanks to his hit single “Alright”, K-Dot is also competing for Best rap album, Song of the year, Best rap performance among other nods.

Following Kendrick, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd are both among the top contenders with 7 nominations each. Other hip hop artist nominated this year are Nicki Minaj and Drake with 3 nominations but also Dr Dre and J.Cole who are all running for Best rap album.
